\nMiddlesex Health is looking for compassionate, caring individuals to join our team. As an RN you will be a part of a collaborative and innovative group of individuals who strive to improve outcomes for an at risk population. The Registered Nurse provides individualized care primarily for medical and telemetry patients with a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
\n· Provide safe and comprehensive care to patient at various points in recovery
\n· Act as patient advocate
\n· Administer medications as ordered
\n· Monitor patient condition and provide appropriate interventions when necessary
\n· Contribute to building and maintaining a team oriented environment
\n· Encourage patient success and help to foster an environment of recovery
\n· Help facilitate safe discharge plans including aftercare when appropriate
\n· Effectively delegate to and supervise support staff
\n \n· Perform other duties as required

\nMinimum Qualifications:
\nGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current and unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or the ability to obtain.
Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients and to perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner
Preferred Qualifications:
\nOne year of acute care nursing experience
BSN or ADN/ASN and actively enrolled in a BSN program
Experience with substance abuse
Epic experience
