Lehigh County currently has an immediate need for a Clerk Typist 2 to perform the duties of a receptionist. Come join our dedicated team of professionals and help us accomplish our goals.Description of Work:As a Clerk Typist 2, you will serve as the Agency receptionist on a daily basis providing effective and efficient communication between the Agency and the community including answering three incoming phone lines and transferring appropriately, recording all voice messages from overnight, retrieving and distributing all incoming faxes at the reception area, and maintaining the "Daily Schedule" which records the office attendance of entire staff along with meetings and overnight staffing. You will be responsible for maintaining current phone lists, confirming on-call staff assignments on a daily basis, and maintaining the log of equipment used by on-call staff.In addition, as needed, you will provide assistance to clerical support staff including but not limited to:Preparing and processing case files for court as well as openings, transfers, closings, and mailing court ordersProcessing incoming mail by opening, stamping, distributing and completing labelsFiling and scanning closed filesCompleting routine letters, appointments, and case acknowledgementsOperating office equipmentPerforming additional duties as neededWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or Any combination of equivalent experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
